Mechanic recommendation needed in Los Angeles
Hey guys, just purchased an 05 Xb and the check engine lights came on ( all 3) apparently called the Christmas tree or something.
Anyway I'm in the military and my fiancee is driving the car in Los Angeles. I'm coming home on break soon and hoping I can either have whatever parts I needed shipped to me so I can install them or have a shop fix it.
So can anyone recommend a good price but good shop in the Los Angeles hopefully near LAX area that can diagnose the problem and either fix it or tell me what needs to be replaced. Thanks!

1. how many miles are on the car
2. is there any odd oders like gas or oil or anything else that doesn't smell good ta all
3. is there any modifications
seeing that the codes are for the EVAP system, you can start by replacing the gas cap which will come with a new seal and hopefully that can start to fix your leak if that is the problem. i know a few toyota/scions have had that problem before, if not it can also be a electrical problem that is isn't giving/getting enough voltage causing the codes to be thrown. the only real way to know is by having someone take a look at the car and diagnost each code at a time, too bad i don't know any small shops out there by LAX to recommend you to but maybe Eddiea123 can help you out since he lives out in that area

The car has 170k
no odd odors as far as I can tell. Ill check foe beoken hoses shen I get to the car. Ill also get a new gas cap right away to see if that solves the issue. Ill get a hold of that member. Does he charge a certain rate for fixing things?
