Dezod sells motor mounts, but they are a pain to install. why do you need new motor mounts? are you making it a track car or is a mechanic just telling you that there bad?

my engine blew when i was driving because the shop that did oil change for me forgot to lock the oil pan plug and oil spilled on the freeway and engine blew and the motor mounts went bad. it makes noise when im on drive at a red light and when i drive it stops making noise and when i opened the hood and had my friend step gas on it the engine moves back like crazy. so i need to replace it. or do i not? would it be ok if i just leave it like that and just drive around forever?

so then you got oil on your motor mounts which shouldn't be because it will soften them, the engine always moves back when you rev it, that is why they make motor mounts and a engine damper which you can get to reduce the engine movement but it will still rock back abit. having both mounts/damper will give you cabin vibration but trust me it's well worth it when shifting and gunning it because you don't lose your torque as much as before. just the installation of the motor mounts isn't great at all.

just to let you know, if you do end up getting those motor mounts, have a professional install them. the rear mount is a b*tch.

but if i dont replace the motor mounts i have right now will anything bad happen in the future? should i just get the damper? and my engine moves wayyyyyyyyyyyyy back more then a regular tc would.. i have 2 friends who have tc's and we all looked at it.. the motor mount has gone bad due to the fact that my engine blew and caused alot of stress on the motor mount

a engine damper would help but if you got oil on your motor mount bushings, then change them out because it will weaken and crack your factory bushings with time and get worst, now if you do change out the bushings and it still moves then buy a engine damper to reduce movement.

well if you said that you had oil everywhere and it got everywhere and wasn't cleaned then i'd remove them and check them out, clean them and reinstall them so hopefully they won't be slipping from the mount or just buy new ones and go from there and save yourself a reinstallation of the motor mount bushings.

ooo noooo i didnt mean the oil spilled everywhere. i mean the oil pan under my car plug fell out while i was driving and so basically my drove dry in the engine and so all the cams and everything in the engine snapped cause there was no oil in the engine. but i dont think any oil spilled around the motor mounts cause the shop installed another engine and did whatever.
