I had to post this in it's own thread. Too cool to just leave on the general thread where people will blow it off. The next generation of car designers at my college. Very cool stuff the students in another division of my school are making "IN CLASS"!!!
Yeah I used my iPhone on these. No reason to being out the camera until classes start.
The earlier stages?

Crazy!

Loving it!

My favorite one for Nissan! I wonder why?

These are all on public display and meant to be seen.

I think some are for water sports. High concept fun stuff without the restrictions of the corporate job.
PS: I think the last one looks a million times better than that orange scion prototype we saw last year. Yuk!

However I do not know. The best way to say it's scale would be that pic where you see the ceramic box covering the Nissan? I was standing like 2+ ft. from it. That help?

Here are some more. I figure it would inspire some of you.
They are made by actual students. No joke. From conception to the scale models. Some times Nissan/ Honda/ Toyota/ Ford/ Mercedes and more come to the school asking for help with a project.
One of the graduates actually designed the original VW Bug and the Corvette!
This might give a better idea of the size of some of the projects.

This will give you an idea of the process before the models are hand and machine made.

Again from high end concept presentation to scale model

Work in progress!

Just very cool to me. This stuff makes me with I never left school when I was training for 3D modeling!

Yeah I just felt some people here and on other Car forums might appreciate this stuff. Even maybe more than I do. I mean it;s a real expensive college but it;s worth it so if you like this stuff look up Art Center College of Design. I procrastinated two years to decide to punt in the work to get in.
So I figure I would share the wealth and for anyone who REALLY loves this stuff might want to look into Art Center. Sooooo worth it.
