hah. I talked him out of the exhaust. So 2 fixits..when i already have 2 current no front plate tickets hahaha

then because i parked my car and got out to take out some luggage for my aunt...boom another cop. Its a potential terrorist threat...so he needs my drivers license to take down my info *now required at the airport if the driver gets out of the car* because i might "potentially have a bomb in my trunk".....what the f?

I was laughing so hard.

So sorry...I'm leaving the scion community. As I've been potentially planning for...I said formula D vip was probably my last event. I think it was. I was gonna turbo my car...but after 12 citations, 2 points on my license, 1 major car accident.... I think its just time. I love my Tc too much...and this community that the forces that be are saying...step back.

New Projects Potentially....FD RX7, Toyota Supra, 350z, or EVO.

If and when this happens... I'll let all of my friends on Scionlife know whats up.

Let me get something straight...You're getting rid of the tC because of the hassle you've been getting, so you're going to get one of the 4 most harassed cars on the road? Sound logical to me.

Sorry, but you deserved the tickets you got.

 

yeah, dude, look, if you love modifying cars, but live in cali, your going to get hassled, no matter what because they have such strict laws.

no matter what car you get, you put some exhaust and tint and drive around without front plates, guess what...your going to get hassled. do you really think they only ticket scions?

 

thats what im saying. Since i get hassled of course for having a modified car. I'm not going to have a turbo in the vehicle just to get it removed. I'm going to be legally boosted.

And my priors... I didn't deserve...more than one was racially motivated.

 

^ You could run a turbo tC with an open dump and still have less of a hassle than you would if you were driving around with a Supra.

Let's look at some other facts

You like modding cars
You think the police are out to get you because they're racist
You want something fast

So what's a cop going to see? A Supra/Evo/350z/Rx7 with tint, no front plate, exhaust, and no interior. At that point, he won't say "Oh hey, it comes from the factory with a turbo, so all this stuff is legal!", he'll say "Step out the vehicle and put your hands behind your head."

I say do it! get a FD and make that _____ fast! Only thing you will miss is the gas milage from the tC.

you should know how strict LAX is and if you where driving with you windows up then that was a mistake, as for exhaust can't say much because they only like them on mustangs you know. no front plate is another story. now for your car being gutted? why would you want to leave it like that if it's for a track day then cool for driving around gutted is annoying because you can hear the road alot.plus you got the roll call on the side which is what cops like because they know that you have illegal parts

last time i saw his car was triathlon and he had a couple of decals on each side window.

same here. i've had 5% tint all around for a lil over a year. just recently i got a tint ciatation and then a month or so later another tint citation + no front plate + exhaust. easy fix and move on.

 

every summer cops crack down on tint, they know that everyone tints their windows because of the summer heat, and its an easy ticket.
10 months sounds a bit right, if you got your tints after last summer.

in my city last summer they were giving out tickets left and right for tint, there was not one car in the city after summer that had front window tint. everyone was driving around with no front tint and limo everywhere else.

I think its just easy money for the city during summer.

no front plate is just asking for ticket in so cal. I drive with a front plate, because they can give you a ticket while you're parked and away. and chances are if they pull you over for no front plate, then it equates to them looking at other things to give you more tickets.

seriously. No front plate ever! MUWHAHAH! Yea.. my rear is gutted for an upcoming track event. My car is stickerless and sleeper. I wasn't speeding..it was the entrance of LAX at 6 AM!!!!!!

Doesnt matter. Keeping the Tc.....opening a shop soon that will cater to the Scion community as well as other vehicles. A bunch of surprises and new things going on as of today.

FYI in coming weeks...my Tc will be a threat.


The tickets I suppose are just a part of doing business...it was eventually going to happen.
