it's easily a total. Think about it...the car is worth 17k...if every single body panel is damaged, how much do you think the work/parts is going to be on that car...10k?

i realized that, but there has been people on her who had more extensive visual damge than his and their car was not totaled out. i'm guessing the frame was bent since there was impact on the front and the back. or the insurance company is a good one.

Good luck to you man. Nice car, but it's just a car. I am sure you will get over it

I would try and keep the friends you gained and move on or stay and get another Scion. I am sure it will not really be the same though. Never is when you start over.
