Member ... and membership has its benefits, evo is involved with Scion and is often called on to supply vehicles for commercials or events, etc.

Our guys down here in Florida do get alot from being part of the group, but like anything else if the group, (Any), is run by idiots, then you get out whatever you put in.

In the end you spend at least that much with any club, between shirts, decals and other things to be part of a group.

its worth it. but you have to help, everything isnt just handed to you. but it does provide a great ground for making friends and networking.

lol UPS is a b*tch. hahahaha ~ yeah i know the $40 goes to maintaining the site and all and then its $20 to continue per year. i was just curious if it was worth it all or not cuz i've been reading their forums and it seems just like scionlife with the same "discounts" and such

i see ALOT of SE logos in cerritos

Best thing to do is come to the meet and judge for yourself.
I also urge you to check out meets from other well respected clubs such as - Scinergy (membership their is free) , Scion Image, Scion Xclusive, Sciontific, Scion Kreations and others.
Like M2-Motoring said joining SE to get discounts, sponsorships etc. is not a reason why to join....it's about the connections you make and it's like joining an extended family with over 1200 (and growing) brothers and sisters....the material things is more of a bonus.

And as what was mentioned we tend to work hand in hand with Scion Corporation for projects, focus groups, commercials etc. because of the long standing relationship we have with them and beacause of our reputation.
Each chapter is run differently but we all follow a set of guidelines.

In SoCal you will be amazed on numerours events we do everry year etc.

And as far as discounts ....SE has some deals with sponors that are not allowed to be posted in public etc.

Some companies that offer discounts that are quite aggressive compared to others (in SoCal) are M2-Motoring, bBist, MotorFZ, Island Motorsports, Scion Sport Tuning, Jaz Wheels, Axis, Wheels, Turn 3 Creative, 5Axis just to name a few.

I agree with Adrian (scioninla) check out the clubs and make your own conclusion.. its not about the discounts its about fitting in. and being part of a family

also every club has something diffrent to offer and not every club is for everyone good luck with your decision :D

You can come to a meeting or two before you decide to join or not. There is no pressure to join.....

Part of Scion Evolution Virginia Chapter. SE has gotten me going with my car in away I couldnt have done alone. Its all about the people you meet by being a part of a group. Everyone knows someone and anything you need can be found by someone in the group. I have gone to some awesome shows with SE and have been doing very well in competition. If it wasnt for our great chapter liason, I wouldnt have heard of half of the shows in the area.

Check out scionevolution.com and decide for yourself.

it's http://www.scionevolution.ORG

many people have their reasons of joining... but like Adrian said.. if you're in it for material benefits... then it's the wrong reason.

family, community, and the friends you'll meet along the way is what it's about.

I went to a couple of events before I joined. Glad I did...got to know some of the people and what the club did before joining. Now I am a proud member of the SE-Detroit. Strongly recommend. But hey, if Fuji says its cool, then what else do you need??????

you want an honest opinion, here ya go:

I am a PROUD memeber of SE, and i say that proudly because of the communitee. The added discounts you get as well as the feeling of being in a family make the 40 dollar membership fee well worth it. Everyone is friendly, and i know i've made friends that i can always count on. If you have any questions just go down to the meet this Friday and see for yourself. Hope i've helped a bit!

You can find more info on all the car clubs that are in the Pacific South region here:
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=113133

Like some one said, you should try going to a few meets from a couple of clubs, then it will be easier to choose, good luck.

^^ yeah.. don't just limit yourself to just SE.. there are many other clubs out there. test your waters. pick what you like best.

it took me about a year until i finally joined SE. so there's no rush. come out to meets and mingle

most of what you'll find are friendly people.
