Sherrif she come up to me and ask's "do u know why i pulled u over?" i reply No with my hand shaking of nerviousness she said dont worry i like ur car is it a SCION TC? since i have the Tc logo off and the back scion emblum black she looked inside my car said wow its nice how much did u pay for it? she tell me she wants to get one for her daughter i just wanted to ask u a few questions about ur car then she says "it that the OEM exhast? im like no she asks is it legal i reply no its not then she says well it dosent sound loud so ur ok with me then she ask's if i have any modifications to my engine i say no just the exhast i didnt want to say yea i have a intake header all that illegal stuff so i kindly tell her well u should buy ur daughter a scion i love mine so i gtg im on my lunch and im a little late

I recently just got a full vehicle inspection on the 710 coming home from long beach, i was straight up with the 5-0 and I walked away with no ticket, just "now no racing! "

Why?! If there's actually a cop out there that isn't gonna bust one of us for tuning...why would you wanna rat her out and make her change her ways?! I support cops like that...the ones that actually worry about doing their job and not hassling tuners that don't race!

there are alot of cops out there like that. i've pulled plenty of people over before just to check out their rides. alot of officers are car enthusiast too. i've never given people tickets for simply having a modified car, there are more pressing issues out there for me to deal with. and you'll find that most of you who are getting ridiculous tickets are usually getting them from city police departments. i work for the sheriff's department and me and my buddy's really don't give traffic tickets. we are too busy responding to calls that have more urgency. we usually pull you over for a specific reason, like we are looking for someone and if you are clean we will let you go. i have had people earn themselves tickets by acting like tough guys instead of being cool. so if you ever get pulled over just be cool and honest, small crimes will usaully be overlooked if you are cooperative and honest.

 

not with PD, CHP is really cool, but the local PD, man its just a diff story

i live in east l.a. but i don't work in that city. being in law enforcement you generally do not want to work in the same city you live. imagine being in the super market with you're family and you come across a perp that you recently arrested. not a good thing to have happen. let's just say i work within 50 miles of east l.a.

i don't know who that was that you mentioned, cause i've only been with the department for a little while. i'm sure you've seen me driving around montebello. my tc is very noticable. i have deep dish rims,custom front bumper, and a silver carbon fiber hood.

 

its true, ive gotten only warnings by putting the keys on my dash and rolling down my windows and putting my hands on the outside of my doors with the windows down. From what I understand it makes the police officer more comfortable, and as long as you dont try to talk down to them or argue, you should be fine.

I have gotten tickets before but they have lowered the speed that I was actually traveling due to me being co-operative.

 

wow crazy ur lucky, i would seriously be scared, luckily my car is only show driven and not daily driven, but if i get pulled over i'm screwed.. usually i tell them i'm goin to car show and they let me be... but yeah seriously i got hassled by cops before on my old honda when it was stock and just lowered with rims and a legal exhaust and they assumed i had illegal stuff in my car, even searched the whole interior everything even my laptop back looking for something illegal i know it wasn't right since i didn't do anything wrong but i didn't want to make it worst.

 

i never really get nervous when i get pulled over.. i always feel that if i didnt do anything wrong.. chances are you didnt.. and if you did do something wrong, just be a man and own up to it.. ive been pulled over many times.. and still have no tickets.. my last time i got pulled over.. admitting that i even drank a few beers, and that i was just going home.. told him i had a case of beer in the back aswell.. he didnt even test me and told me "since you were honest with me, im gonna let you go" ..if you do get a ticket or whatever for this.. its your fault for being stupid in the first place..
