Law enforcement may not ask you to roll up your window(s) to check for illegal tint; it is a violation of your 5th Amendment rights and you have the right to refuse the request.
They can ASK whatever they'd like to ask, and yes you have the right to refuse the request. You don't have to sign at the bottom of the citation either, they'll just arrest you if you dont.
Signing the bottom of that ticket is not an admission of guilt, you are agreeing to make a court appearance. Rolling up your window at the officer's request because of illegal tint is an admission of guilt and you have the right not to self-incriminate yourself.

I dare you to refuse the officer, thats how you go about getting written up for whatever they pulled you over for. Then they'll find probable cause to have you step out of the vehicle cause you're being an idiot. And once they've got you out of the car, they'll check the tint themselves. But that tint will be the least of your worries if they find anything illegal in your ride.
Yes, I have refused an officer's request to violate my civil rights (the officer wanted to search my engine without probably cause) with no negative repercussions because I informed him of my rights and asked him what probable cause he had to search my property. You're not being an idiot by questioning what probable cause they have to pull you over and search your vehicle; once again, you have the right to due process whether it be in a courtroom or on the side of the road. I've had to do this twice, it's never resulted in a ticket, I've never been handcuffed or seen the back of a police cruiser, and I've never had to defend myself in court.

If you choose to surrender your rights because of lack of knowledge, you help contribute to a very small percentage of law enforcement that abuse their power by knowingly violating your rights, and that's the main reason why people your age are an easy targets for being pulled over because they know you won't question their actions.

you are part of the 1% of people that are refusing to a search because of their rights. you actually have nothing to hide because everything on you're car is legal. you're simply refusing inspection because of the principles of the matter. the other 99% of people would only refuse a search because they have something to hide, in which case they will find it and then you have been caught lying. which is a crime in itself.

haha, I know signing the bottom of the citation is not an admission of guilt, its stating that you promise to show up on or before the specified court date. And rolling up your windows at the officers request is not an admission of guilt, or "self-incriminating yourself" as you put it, because it can be very likely that you dont have tint on your front windows. I know a lot more than you think I know. But you seem to be self-proclaimed expert. You wouldn't need to know all these these ways around the law if you weren't hiding something in the first place. Maybe YOU have nothing to hide, but when a person refuses a search, they normally have something to hide (illegel tint, mods, weapons, drugs etc...)

Now if all the mods you have performed on your car abide by the law, or CVC in our case, you would have no reason to deny an officers request for you to roll up your window. Furthermore, if you want to believe that you are being violated civilly because the officer requested you roll up your window without "due process" or probable cause to verify that you are not in violation of the law, then you are quite simply a peon. (no offense toward you personally, just my opinion) I "surrender my rights" and allow the officer to take a look around because I love to watch them go through the hassle of searching for something illegal on my car, then come up empty handed.

My point is, obey the law and there will be no need for jumping through legality hoops...

I wouldn't dare call myself an "expert", but I have a degree and a mountain of college loans that say otherwise. Just because I don't practice doesn't make what I post any less valid.

I understand, and I dont mean to offensive or demeaning with anything I say. What you are saying is valid, but what Im saying is the majority of people do not possess your knowledge, and that the instances you have faced are very different from the "norm".
