but if you havent done this much or unsure, Id feel uncomfortable.

the electronics is pretty sensitive.

I just dont like the idea of mailing it out and having no cluster for a week. local would be so much easier.

 

I work with electronics that are way more sensitive than any of the electronics in any car out there.

I live up in Ventura County, i'd like to do some here, but i would be willing to travel to do some, like southern LA(Costa Mesa, New Port, long Beach). and as for work i do electronics testing of circuit cards for an Army project, before that i did 6years in the USAF working on F-16 Avionics

 

70 miles is nothing, i drive 150 each way to Big Bear Lake every weekend

I know there are a couple of diagrams for the gauges around here.

 

wow, every weekend??? thats crazy. I drive 60 miles every day round trip , but wow 300 miles just for 3 days. Crazy.

Also, yea man im in West LA, i wouldnt mind driving to you also. Let me know, Im acutally in the process of gettin a new in-dash screen, i just want to get the system picked out, so i can get the correct colors accordingly.

i did find info for the xA...is it just the guages? or do you have the same HVAC controls as the tC?

 

The HVAC is different from the tC I believe, although it should be simpler.
I would have liked to also do the shifter if possible.

 

i think my new neighbor has an xA, i'll try to make friends with them and check it out

 

i've got some LEDs on the way, and i'm gonna get the resistors and stuff soon, so i will be doing some cars soon...next weekend's my birthday so no go for that weekend, but i hope to start the weekend after that, i've had a few people contact me so far, i only ordered whit, blue and red LEDs so far cause i haven't had any other orders, so if you are thinking about a diff color let me know so i can order some.

So i finally got all the parts needed, well the last stuff is in the mail, so i am going to start trying to set up some swaps, if you've PM'd me i have the PMs and will contact you, and if you haven't but are interested let me know. I am also working on an xB2 gauge right now, have it done, but gotta test it in the box ;) so we'll see where that goes.
