I think it's like 30 hours if you drove it straight through from springfield to seattle. take the 7 off from springfield to ames and add a bit and you'd be right at 24-25 hours . . .


you'd surely win longest drive! that is of course unless I drive to dallas and back a fwe times before hitting ames, lol!

I think I'm going to start planning for the Ames trip now (figure out where we are all meeting at and things like that [NOT AT THE SPEEDWAY])

 

Hmmm, it's looking like the "special pricing" for "groups" is relatively non-existant in this town. Stupid.

In any case, we have a group of rooms blocked until April 11th at the Baymont Inn. Nice rooms, clean place.

$87 /night plus tax and suites are $10 more.

Call at 515-296-2500. This was arranged by Lindsey, but anyone should be able to help you.

I'm still trying to come up with something better, but it's not looking promising. If I have something else come up, I'll post but I'm not counting on it. Still, way better than last year!

all the travel sites have no rooms for all scion show dates. if you want a room with other scion people, i guess you'll have to call the hotel and set it up through them.

although the best western does have rooms for 67$ in ames.

 

The Best Western is a decent enough place, but is further from the show than any of the other hotels.

The Grandstay Suites is the closest and they want $100 for a Queen suite with a sofabed. The Baymont is still probably our best option.

Chad told me that they were paying $100/night down in Des Moines last year so this is better on a lot of levels.
