Isn’t that what it’s all about? I’ve never gone to a show because I needed acceptance from people I barely know. I go to shows so I can display what I’ve done to my car and to see what others have done to theirs.

i wasnt voicing my opinion bc i didnt win a trophy, i was voicing it just to give an opinion... i am not a trophy winner so its not a big deal to me as i have nothing to expect so just let it be....



plus, we dont need to call alex, i have my own trophy guys... hahah

My trophy comment was directed at you. Just an over all comment about some attitudes expressed in this thread.
In a contest there are winners and loser…its life!


There was nothing but love at the show. It seems that most threads on this form that are about shows or judging are void of love.

well ill throw my opinion out there as far as teh wild tc goes crystal purple tc hands down was nicest tc there IMO looked so nice NRG got second he won both chicago shows i was at so i think hes knows his car is fine and 3 was hunter his car is just ridiculously clean and unique he does his own mods he doesnt just pay someone to get them done....IMO the places where fine....i had alot of fun and congrats to everyone and i was glad sciko to home best of show....these were 4 of 5 of the nicest xb's i have ever seen in person......so awesome job everyone....

ben last year when i ask you bout elmhurst u said u would never go to a scion evolution show when u have to pay to get in.....change of heart?

 

well considering i'm part of scion evo chicago i'll def be there.

i still think paying for dealership shows is ___ but at least the elmhurst show is huge and has prizes

 

i completely agree with shows are about having fun and getting together, sorry to cause a stir, it was a good event.

I have been doing this show for 5 years as well, I might not put any input into the last 5 shows but I have been supporting Alex and Wilson at all the time, even with question "How are you, need help?"

Have I felt wrong about the judges for past 5 years? yes I have do I complain ? No I don't because It was their opinion and not mine and I RESPECT that.

Just as I said on scinergyiA forum, if you put $70.000 into mods for your car and have spent only 1hour to clean it and there is mud on your sides or your tires look dirty, do you think you deserve to win EVERY show just because you "spend money" ? Yes some cars at the show looks awesome yet if you look at the "presentation" of the car is very poor. What I am trying to say is that if you spend 10.000 on mods and clean your car very well, and also did something uniquely for the presentation part believe me you would of won any car no mater what they have.

So please guys , event's like this are ment to be for socializing, get to know each other, put faces with the usernames, and have fun. Wining something is just an extra part of the show that 3-5 people had judged jet if you haven't won anything you at least meet other people, saw cars , saw mods you might like....

Again thank you all for coming I would like all of you to look things more from socializing point rather then "whats in it for me".

Btw was I complaining because nobody said not even "Thank You" for live streaming car show "except Alex" ? NO I have not because "if i do something out of passion, i do for IT"

Sorry to be absent for all the fun discussion. Back at work and jetlagged to all hell right now.

I'll post a thank you thread tonight when I can gather my thoughts and I'll post the official winners list too.

As for judging, I have full faith in my selected judges. They each know Scions extremely well and they were instructed to grade very harshly. The guidelines for judging are always made available on the website in advance of the show and were taped to the registration table as well. I do that each year to avoid confusion. Guess that failed.

I think deserving people won and I KNOW the judging was very close.

I hope that in the end everybody had fun and also has a new appreciation for how much pie they really think they can eat.

Its true, everyone did have fun, and the pie eating contest was hilarious, only thing that sucked was the sun burn!! Why did it have to be so dam hot out!?!?

 

wow the thread just fell apart and for what because some of you didnt get a trophy? i didnt even go trying to get one, i went to see old faces and meet new ones so jesus stop B*tching! not everyone is going to agree with $hit point blank, its called LIFE, you can say whatever you want about my ride because i dont care lol my car is unique and it is VERY clean so dont try to bash it on here when telling me to my face you like it, i enjoyed the show, the judges went by cleaness ( as in actually scrubbing the dirt off youre car, no dirty rims etc) but than again judging wasnt fair because it wasnt in youre favor right? please people, the show was fun, people were great and ____ was free, see the big picture and put the trophies aside for once, think about how to improve youre car for the next car show if youre that upset about it.
