ah man... Im sorry to hear/see what happened. first and foremost... glad you're okay. And as others in the club have said... if you need anything.... (I know I havent been able to get back down...but will do if you need......Wow... what a dirtbag to hit someone that hard and flee the scene. Especially in an accident that could've seriously injured someone and they dont even stop to check? I hope they throw the Fing book at him!

So Chris came down and helped me strip the car out. We're going to switch out the exhaust and third brake light tomorrow before they tow it. I'll post pics of everything i have for sale, but the insurance lady wanted all the speakers installed and panels in place because they want to sell a complete car.

Thanks for all the kind words. I'll keep you all posted as to what the police say (still haven't heard anything) and what kind of car I'll end up in.

Peace!

well if the speakers you had installed in the doors, etc... were aftermarket ones that YOU put in the car...then it doesnt matter what the insurance company says... you have a right to remove them.

It was great that a good person followed that SOB when he took off to track him down.

I know the feeling.
I totaled my 1st gen xb on Oct 1st.
Glad you're ok, insurance will cover the rest.
After the dust settles, go get a new car!
Think of it as a new canvass.
Best of luck!

Glad to see everyone come together for Paul. It's so sad to see things like this happen to the good guys. So, maybe the people here can at least make things a little better. That's so nice of Chris to come help with wrenching too!

I think you can buy a geo metro with the change you have in your pocket. No need to crash anything!

so I don't have the axle-back for the stock exhaust, so I can't take the skunk2 off and sell it. They want a complete car to sell it to the junkyard or whatever. Damn, I didn't plan this accident very well.. Same goes for the full 3rd brake light, shift ****, front component speakers. I swear my parent's garage magically makes things disappear. I am sooooo ____ed right now I think I am going insane. And I have a bunch of bells and whistles under the hood that I can't switch out because the hood cannot be open. Just venting because I thought I could part out some stuff and make a little money. I guess that's not the case. Grrrrrrr!!!! Hulk Smash!!!

And I can't get the other guy's insurance informations...And my phone is a piece and keeps cutting out so noone can hear me. It all makes for a very frustrating recipe.
