Hey guys, the car feels ok. It would probably feel a bit better if it wasnt leaking. I hear like a rattle sound, too. kinda sounds like a scraping sound sometimes, not sure what that could be

 

we def have to check it out next meet. try to get the gasket by wednesday so we can knockout that leak... the rattleing sound... is it coming from the engine bay? or under the car? If its the engine bay, it could be the dipstick hitting the header, if its under the car... not sure... maybe the metal to metal with out the gasket??? not sure.. keep an ear out for it and well see what we can do on wednesday

 

kk, thanks again. im gonna try and pinpoint where I hear it from exactly, but it only sounds when the car is in motion. I thought it might be that the splash guards came off or something, but the zip tie is holding good

 

next meet geo ill get dirty and check it out... the rattling could either be coming from the bolts or the header were the 2 parts are joined.. it might not be tight enough..

bring the gasket and ill bring the copper sealer... that should make it feel better..

how does it compare to stock??? are you liking it any better?

 

Loving it. seems like after 4k the car wants to just jump to 6k...or it could be the "ricey exhaust" sound (cus of the leak) that makes it feel much better, lol.
the scraping/grinding sound is coming from the Engine bay, the dipstick doesnt move so i dont think its that

 

does that mean we are gonna be seeing you more at the track? lol

that sound might be the connection between the 2 parts of the header geo.. u might wana shake it up and see if that the sound.. i hate taking the header apart like that for that reason.. which is why i did it the hard way and dropped the cooling fans...but check that ...it might be loose...
