Anybody have any info on the tinting laws down here I wanna go as dark as possible but I don't wanna get pulled over and ticketed.

I had a buddy who got pulled over and the cops made him scrape his tints off right there on the spot but I'm sure that cop was just an a-hole.

you can get away with 15% no problem, i'm not sure about anything lower

John...actually is 28%...i got a ticket 2 months ago... for having 10%

 

I thought it was 35% on the front roll downs and 20% for the rest.

 

i have 15% all the way around and 20% on the windshield

 

I have 5% all around (minus windshield) and havent had any troubles yet. (knocks on wood) Ive had it for about 2 years now.

 

my boy had 5% on his civic and it was a biatch to see through at night. 20% is the limit but you should have no trouble getting by with 15%

5% all around here. No problems what so ever. Its really not that hard to see out of at night, atleast for me. My husband has really bad eyes so he rolls down the window as needed.

 

I had 2% all around and got pulled over 3 times, do legal on the front and limo the rest, just wait till you run into a North Port cop!

Incorrect!

I have had enough tint tickets to know the legal limit is 27% on the fronts and anything on the backs and rear, however most cops in South Florida will still let 20% slide on the fronts which is why everyone thinks it's 20%. I used to think the same till a while ago.


I've got 1% all around and 35% on the front window (yea, got a ticket to prove the 1% ). Just whatever you get, be smart about it... don't get 5% and drive next to every cop with your windows up. The way I drive when I see a cop in sight, I roll down my windows till I pass the cop or the cop passes me.

dude u live in north port where the cops are 100 perecent _______s all day everyday. id go 25-30 just to be safe man, they love messing with people for the pettiest crap.
