the problem is that we all participate in a thankless, egotistical hobby... I mean if it wasnt for the $20 trophys, then we wouldnt put 5-10-15k into our cars... there is no one here that cant truthfully say that winnning a trophy isnt the reason that we buy the parts and work on the cars. but... it is the people who are out there for the same goal that makes the time enjoyable... now im going to be completly honest... yes there are people out there who have screwed me over, ____ed me off, and all in all people who i just cant stand out at these shows... but for those breif 4-5-6-8 hours i put all that aside because we all are one big family, sure we arent related by blood, marriage, adoption... we are all a family because of the little shiny things in our pockets (our keys for those of you that dont get where i am going)

People need to grow up. A car show has become a competition (a sport of sorts) and if you can't be mature enough to play the game and lose or play the game and deal with the _____ing then leave. G2G are for hanging out and having fun. Stop trying to take a show like Exposed and turn it into just a G2G. Car shows are for hanging out and having fun too but also competition (refer to my second sentence). Take the trophies away from a show and you have a G2G.

I can't say I know Barry but I can see where he's coming from. I know he must be tired of all the BS but if you guys were really that good of friends outside of your cars he'd still talk to you. If your are and he's still not then he needs to grow up too. I'm thankful for all the stuff he has done but if he feels he has to leave then that's what he has to do. I'm sure if he's just been putting up with the BS for the last 3years then he's got to be tired of it. Planning **** is stressful and thankless (in a case of a show) when you take a few comments to heart. You just got to learn to ignore the **** and think of all the people that are thankful.

Oh yeah, Don is right that all of you are full of **** if you are really sitting here saying you don't care about a trophy after dropping $5K+ in your ride. I don't think it's the guys that spend $5K that b!tch though, it's the one's that spend $1K and think they should be on a cover of a magazine that b!tch.

Can't we all just have a friendly competition, b!tch about the winners and loser's and move on? Just like any other sport people b!tch about the refs and in this case it's the judges. Brush it off and move on cuz the b!tchers aren't winning anyway and if the b!tchers are your "friends" then I guess they really aren't.


This is what you get when you have a bunch of starwars fans that never played sports trying to play a sport of sorts. They want to pull the trophies and hand everyone a cupcake instead. J/K
