What a show! I can't remember a time that I saw so many old friends and made so many new ones!
Before I get into who won what..I want to say THANK YOU to Baine and his family, without his hard work on the stands and display boards (and his family's patience) this would not have been as successful and fun as it was. I would also like to thank David Ford and his wife the promoters (Championship Auto Shows) for doing such a good job!
Now, how did we do? Our class was "Compact Panel" (Whatever that is?) and we were in the same class as HHR's. The one HHR that was there was the one from Godfather Customs. This HHR was specifically designed/built for SEMA, and it won an award at SEMA. Rightfully so...it was amazing!
When the awards came out, I think both Baine and I were both shocked! We beat the HHR!
I took home "Best in Class" with Baine taking home "Outstanding in Class", the HHR took home another "Outstanding in Class" behind Baine.
We made some great friends (Danny and Cynthia with a WideBody 350Z) and had a great time (except for the Segway incident). I hope the powers that be for World of Wheels decide that Atlanta is worthy of another show, if so, I for one, will show again!

From my experience in this type of show...keep it simple and clean. The more "stuff" (trophies, pictures, etc...) the more it distracts from the point of showing the car.
I will be posting pictures tonight of the entire show.
Good Luck!
