Default What did you pay for the car and extended warranty

Went through the entire forum and didn't see this topic but I did want to discuss this

I have been researching this car for months, is there anyone out there that payed less then 15,995?

The reason I bring this up is this

http://scionofrunnemede.com/Runnemed.../New/Scion/iQ/

Obviously the ad is a misprint but should I hold them to their word or am i being mislead by the teeny tiny print at the bottom? I talked to one of the salespeople and they said that they would honor the price and minutes later after being left on hold I got that so we have 15,995 plus the accesories......blah blah blah. Maybe I am just being stingy; you guys will decide.

Secondly, how much should I be paying for an extended warranty, I am literally TERRIBLE at haggling so I appreciate some feedback

I dont think my info is much help but this is what I have:

2005 Scion Tc, bought it in early 2007 (maybe late 2006), 1 owner, a lady.

18K miles on it. Got it for 14,500.00 with a 10yr 100K warranty. I wont get into intrest and stuff since at the time, my credit was not up to par, but I got my car for 14,500.00 and till this day no issues what so ever. it has 94K on it and still under warranty. I heard that the new platium warranty is good, but the coverage is not as long as the old certified warranties. Heard its about 600.00 for the platium warranty. (reason I know is because my mom has a 2008 yaris, certified, with the patium warranty)

Good luck.

The price of the iQ shown in the link does not include the dealer cost. See the small print at the bottom. That would add about 700 and some change to the price.

my wife and i just bought a new xB and let me tell you they will not let you haggle them they will always give you their pure pricing crap lol we put 1500 down plus her college grad rebate which is another 1000 and a 760 credit we got nothing in return by that i mean we could not get them to hook it up at all not even remove the destenation charge. we did get the extended warranty how much it was i dont remeber but our payment is 367 for 66 months the total price isnt more tha 18,750 thats for sure cause we got it bone stock just the spoiler. however with the interest and all that we'll end up paying about 24k but we have free oil changes for 5 years and all that the manual sugests should be done over those 5 years

$15265 is the base price no destination or options figured in. That said, I bought mine with 1,820 in options and the 785 destination fee (Total MSRP 17870) for 15975.

I got mine for $15,900 with a spoiler, back speakers, floor mats etc...they gave me 1,200 off the MSRP. I got the extended warranty and gap together for about $1,600.

2012 iQ that was licenced to the dealer for 6 months. That made it a used car. It had 1600 miles, spoiler, floor mats, mud flaps, alloy wheels. $12,495. I did get the 125,000 mile waranty it raised my cost $30 a month.

I also traded in my 2006 1/2 xB with 152,000 miles. KBB trade in value was $2500 and they gave me $4600 for it.

2013 with 10,000 on the clock $11,500! I will not buy GAP or extended warranties they are a rip off! Never buy them and the once or twice you pay out of pocket for a repair you still come out ahead. BTW "it's a Toyota". That usually shuts up the salesman.

I bought my 2014 iQ Base for exactly 16,000 including taxes, plates, etc. No options no warranties, no trade-in or financing; straight cash homies!
