Oops, you automatically get emails on new PMs. You can't turn it off. Why is this a problem?

It's not such a big problem, but I check SL enough where I don't need extra mail in my box to tell me that I have have a new PM. I check SL more than my mail... Hah. But if there's no way to turn it off, then that's okay. Thanks for the response. Lol.

actually i thought there was a option for that in your profile setting... or is that just for the little "pop up" window when you log into SL

hotmail still sucks. :p

thought maybe it might be a blacklisting issue, but the server is not listed:

Yea D. I have this issue too. I was trying to send clients emails and they wouldn't reach, so i sent the exact same message to a hotmail account I created and it wouldn't send. Even if the email was a non spam related one, just whatever I was talkin about got it eatten. However I have noticed "RE:" works.

I don't have a problem with Hotmail, and I'm not sure why everyone else does. For the record, I was reading just the other day about how Hotmail has recently been toying with their spam filters, so maybe that's part of the reason. I noticed that alot more junk had been getting through lately, and that is why. I'm not sure if the two issues are connected in any way, but supposedly they are in the final steps of getting everything back together.

Like I said, I don't have a problem with Hotmail at all, but I would still switch to Gmail, but I absolutely hate going through the trouble of changing my email address with the bazillion different message boards, banking sites, credit cards, you name it, that I am registered with. It's bad enough changing my address when I move, but changing email addresses is even worse!
