DETROIT — Toyota has confirmed for Inside Line that a new Scion concept vehicle will be unveiled at the 2008 New York Auto Show. At the same time, Toyota insiders said that the company will keep a low profile at February's 2008 Chicago Auto Show, with no major product reveals planned for the Toyota, Scion or Lexus brands.
The Big Apple has always been a natural setting for Scion and the unveiling of its concept cars. In 2006, the Toyota youth brand rolled out the Scion Fuse concept, a futuristic coupe inspired by Hako Super GT racing cars that compete in Japan's JGTC series. No details are forthcoming yet about what the brand's 2008 concept vehicle will look like.

and i'm guessing too that it's the tC replacement
though, a mini truck would be nice, besides the a-bat concept they showed at Detroit
If scion makes a v6 that sucks, they need to keep the Scion brand small, low volume no more than 3 cars in the lineup, and deff not v6 cars or trucks (as much as I would like to see it) stick to the root and be different Scion, it might as well be a Toyota branded car or a Lexus, if the next tC becomes a small cheap ($25,000) lexus IS 250 Im not gona like it. Its ok to be different, I just dont want Toyota to end up like GM were every car is the same, low quality, bad gas mileage and no re-sale value at all. I bought my 2001 Chevy Malibu in 2002 for $12,000 and with the current miles and condition it worth 3-4000 dollars, even though I've put around $20,000 in it. A good Honda or Toyota even a Subi or Mitsu in the same condition with the same mods and miles would be in the $5,000 to $10,000 range to sell. Imports hold value for a couple reasons gas milage, build quality and over all fit and finish are up there but resale on imports is crazy, you loose 5% off the lot American cars loose at least 30-40% off the lot. TOYOTA dont go down that path please.
i have to agree with "hwybox" i think scion should stick to their roots and have no more than 5 cars. maybe something RWD? i'm feeling like drifting again and i would love to keep it scion! maybe something over 220hp? something "stock" with a S/C or Turbo? i mean come on people the world we live in has a Turbocharged NEON! and kicking butt with it. scion/toyota needs to step it up.
