discrediting/dismissing the opinions of your target audience/market with such a response only leaves the audience/market to feel devalued -- its Scion saying we know better than you do, and if you don't get that then Scion is not for you.
If Scion decided to do this in limited numbers like was told to me the other night, someone will be there to buy it if you were not interested.
RELAX tCers ... your replacement is coming.

ya'll are bashin it like its gonna be out this fall.....its a proto type.....after reading the first 2 pages of bashing I jumped to the end.....I watched it online and dont recall what motor is goin in it nor it being fwd...I think if they put a slight slant inwards on the windshield....lil more tapizode then rectangle....but yeah at first I was like wtf but as the unveiling continued I was like rat rod of the next gen!!! I can totally see that....oh well to each his own...remember when each of our cars first came out ...there was the group that was like its hideous...then the group that was the thats sweet.....if you remember they also made mention of possibly adding 3 more models to the current line up..instead of people thinking that this would replace.....why not thinking this is one of the new models?
A lot of you guys are missing the point here. Let me address this from a marketing perspective. Scion is a youth brand in AMERICA. Scion doesn't exist in Japan. When Tokyo Design built this vehicle, they were addressing the needs/wants of the JAPANESE market and not that of the market here in the U.S. Scion has the t2B, the xB, and now this.
All three models are of the "boxy" design. What separates this from the Nissan Cube? Tokyo Design should have gone a totally different direction than this. There are too many boxy designs out there now. The interior, while I agree that I like it, resembles too much of the interior of the fuse. subtle characteristics could have been implemented into something totally new. After all, that's what the brand stands for. By addressing the desires of a totally different market, they failed to put forth new ideas in the areas that appeal to this audience.

Two hundred plus responses in a day---I think the concept is doing its job. It is stirring interest. Further--those that drive boxes can not call anything ugly---just by definition. I like driving something different---and I would rather drive this than the current xB. Just my humble opinion.
Everyone keeps saying this is the ugliest concept ever. I beg to differ. And also for everyone saying the windshield won't withstand anything, uhh hello its called a concept car for a reason. Its where the manufacturer can have fun and put things that aren't ordinarily on everyday cars. And if this was to go into production you guys actually think the windshield would be a 90 degree angle??
c'mon now!!!
