i was in a auto show during the weekend
and the salesperson toll me that the new
xb will bring the tc motor and the ax will
bring the corrolla motor. sending the horse power
to 130 in the xb and 105 in the ax.
hope is true .

Apparently there was a Toyota meeting in Texas, and they showed off the both the xD and the xB 4.0

The xD lives! Just got back from my Scion dealer here what I was told:
xD is lower,(about 3 inches from the roofline)) wider, can accept a 160 HP Camary engine, and the front looks close to the Japan issue bB but unique changes for the USA are there.
As always info is subject to change and take with a grain of salt, it is still very early in the game -- just wait til the next Detroit or Las Angeles Auto Show.

Supposedly Toyota designed the Yaris chassis to accept a Corolla engine, so I guess it is believeable.

I would not like less headroom.

 

Oh! One more little tease.. the Fuse was also there in Texas, and although not yet official, it is being evaluated for production.

11 pages of "looks like poop","no, i like it","what a stupid name" and "any word yet?" is a bit much to wade thru...

 

Only things so far "released" is that October is when we should be seeing the info, and November/December they'll be out. The reason I put quotations is that its nothing official. It's something that numerous people have come across via dealerships or other means and it all is the same info. That and the fact that December will be the end of production makes me think they all may be right. Which means I can trade in my car in another month or so.
