i just got this spy shot of the new xB, looks like enterprise got their hands on one to test drive for a while. those sneaky bastards!

 

That's one of the things that worries me about the newer "longer, wider, lower, more powerful" Scion xB replacement we keep hearing about: It keeps sounding more and more like a soccer mom mini-van, and less and less like a lovable, idiosyncratic, honest little mini-car with amazing amounts of room inside compared to it's tiny footprint.

Sounds like all the new one needs is a sliding door.

All that will mean is the xB will truly be an iconic car. The next gen ( xX, what ever letter is going to be caps) will not be nearly as special.

Again, I am perfectly ok with that.

 

Those are differant vehicles, one has a taller roofline and more slanted hood. They have differant camo also. I think trying to make it look boxy like the current xB is a bad idea, it needs to grow up a bit, gain some curves like the t2B concept.

 

Yes, those are different vehicles - the lower pic is from Japan and is wrong-side-drive (but it does appear to be longer, and has five lug wheels). The top pic appears to have been stretched horizontally, giving more windshield slant, etc. (Also, the Japanese one doesn't appear to have the plastic bumper cover over the actual metal bumper on the front.)

There ARE folks who know what "The Replacements" look like, and even the specs, but they aren't talking.
