Haters always have to knock something to make themselves feel better about what they have. I don't own a scion anymore, but the friendships it helped build, and the support scion initially had for us was amazing. I still log in and talk to people on here because of that.

I like all car brands, and can find a model or two in each makers line up that I would certainly drive.

Yeah but the car drives nice looks nice feels nice. Shifting is smoothish and cheap to mod from lights to whatever we want to do. It turns heads wen cleaned up like mine is (a mirror) and when you drive it you feel good. So what's the issue? People get tired of the car then hate it. Given once my daughter is old enough to drive she will have my tc I'll probably move on to a BMW or Infiniti. Or maybe another tc. I will at least know the car will last and it is not bad in the snow even when lowered. Found that out the hard way hahahaha

When you have a crappier car than the guy you are talking crap about, then you are a hater.

It would be a failed attempt for me but the risk would be fun!

When I owned my 2013 tC I looked at it like this. It was better than a base model Civic and Sentra. But under the Si. I feel it's a good buy for sub 20 thousand.

I agree and it's hard to break these vehicles. If you are a student or money is tight with a new job the TC has an edgy appeal and great reliability.

I own a supercharged MINI and bought a pre-owned 2011 TC for my daughter's to share and I find myself driving and liking it more than expected.

A couple weeks ago I finally had the Tc manual transmission fixed to get rid of the horrible whine/hum so it's soothingly quiet now.

These newcarsreview guys call the tC a luke-warm hatch, as opposed to a hot-hatch. This 2+ year old video only has about 1500 views though.

Forgive me if it was posted before. I've only read up to page 6, so far.
