This Miami thing must have been a big yawn and the vehicles shown obviously did not make much of an impression on those in attendance. Of all of the posts about the event there has been a conspicuous absence of any remarks about the details of the xd or the other vehicle that was allegedly there. There has been noticeably few remarks about how "cool, hot, awesome..." or any other superlative used to describe these rumored vehicles or any words that would inspire one to anxiously awaiting their debut. All of this creates a suspicion that their final revelation will be about as exciting as cold, two day old leftovers.
OK the cars were hot. The xB was amazing, and the xD was really nice. The styling cues in both vehicles are much more refined, much more thought-out. I have long-believed that both the xA and xB were overly simplified. Both vehicles have grown a lot. That statement is not necessarily meant to mean that they got bigger, although they both have.

A lot of details about the new cars has been detailed on this site, well, pretty much all I can recall has been detailed, but no pictures of the cars have surfaced. It's an old cliche, but a picture is worth a thousand words, if not much more on a previously unseen car. For everyone not at the Event, you might have a decent idea what the cars look like, but it is very tough to convey our words into a photographic image. I could come up with a great 3D rendering, but I do not have the time.

The cars are great. I will own one of the newly-released vehicles. The xD had some minor disappointments (standard headlights, rear drums) but it appears to be a much more refined vehicle than the xA.

This next statement will sound snobby, but it is certainly NOT meant to be, it is only my guess as to why more have not sounded in... "We saw the new cars, they look great. We already know this, and all the details I can convey with words have already been published. Why should I contribute my little snippet of how I loved the car when the details are already out there and I would just be redundant."

Your response is well taken in all aspects but I believe you have made my point. What was seen or not seen is just not worth the energy or the time to get excited about. This is not an indictment of you personally or your lack of enthusiasm but of the overall general response or lack thereof.

When you snip down my response and take it out of context, yeah I guess I kind of DO make your point.

Max, You’re right and I am sorry. I began watching this thread a few weeks ago when I heard that the new xD may resemble the Toyota Ractis, a car which I am excited about and hoped Toyota would bring over here. I have owned gas guzzling SUVs for the last 20 years but plan on replacing my big car with a smaller one and have even thought about buying a Corolla for myself which is still a possibility. But I was waiting to see what this xD looks like on the thin possibility that it may be a Ractis. Sorry about parsing your response.

Heh. Don't worry about it. I just don't want to sound as if the design was boring. I am very excited about the new cars, and at the event, it seemed as if everyone else was, too. I can see that there is not an overwhelming applause here on SL, and I was offering a possible explanation why. CAS will be here soon enough, and I doubt anyone will be disappointed.

The orange CUV/mini SUV thing on the previous page behind the Copen is the Daihatsu Terios (aka Toyota Rush).

How about the Daihatsu Trevis or Toyota Aygo? I like true super minis. Come on 45-50MPG! Or the Toyota Passo?
