I just sold the GT-S yesterday. So now it's just me and my xA. Kinda sucks, but had to pay for the wedding somehow.

I also think the 1.8 would be a good engine choice. I might attempt that swap after my warranty is up, but that won't be until 100,00 miles! My dealer threw in the extended warranty. If you want more power for that motor then I believe Blitz has a SC for it that they developed for the MRS.

i understand that 100%. i was at my dealer when the local rep was there and we were all talking. all i could get out of him was they would unveil the new cars at HIN miami in Jan and that there would be a contest to win a trip to see the cars 1st and a big party...you dont have to beleive me.

 

All I did was quote. Watch the ad banners at the top of this page. There is a banner ad for that exact party and contest running right now...

This is from my father who is a finance manager at a Toyota/Scion Dealership. The tC 3.0 RS will be pearl white and the xB replacement indeed is getting the 2.4L 2AZ-FE out of the tC. However, the xB will be US specific in design, not the body from the dB concept last year.

BUT when Peruzzi quoted me the date "DEC 15th" was plugged in....is that a hint?

 

what about the R.S.3 xA?

 

i have a hard time beleive they would make the RS3 tC white...i have an even harder time beleving that they are even thinking about the RS3 tC.

 

I wondered how long it would take for someone to notice that....

i did some research..that is the date of the HIN Miami event. i think we can agree that if the new cars are unvailed in a preshow party it would be on the 15th...think of it as an early xmas present...

If the xD is going to have the 2.4L, I'm definately going to PASS on buying it. I had a 2006 tC and gas milage SUCKED @$$. 25-29mpg TOPS. And it wasn't that fast at all. You could get the same gas milage and more power from a V6.
I believe I read a comment where scion stated that young people don't care about gas mileage, well that is complete BS. They may say they don't care that much, but when it comes to opening that wallet you better believe they care as they don't have that much money to spare.
They are going to shoot themselved in the foot if they put the 2.4L in there.

No offense meant by this at all but youre slightly older than the young target market Scion is after. You fall into what we call Generation-X. Scion is geared towards Generation-Y. Totally different attitudinal tendencies. In general though I might agree with you about younger people caring about gas milage. Point taken.


If anybody decodes my previous post I would be super suprised. That code was written by one program which is the only program that will decode it. I guess somebody might stumble on it though...
