i actually agree with geo one this one. When i think reliability and quality, Toyota and honda come to mind. 90 days of ownership is not enough for me to be able to base reliability upon a vehicle. I have toyotas decades old that run beautifully. My uncle has a toyota blue force that he has tried to kill in several ways including not giving it oil for the past decade. That thing still runs beautifully!

Of all of the dodges, chevy's and fords that have been owned in my family, they dont last more than 3-5 years, which i find to be rediculous. Toyotas have a reputation as being reliable, no argument there at all. Ive tried other vehicles, and they are not up to par. We had a 98 dodge caravan and in the matter of just a few months it had 12 headgasket replacements. Now tell me thats a reliable car with a straight face.

Btw, i just had a chevy cobalt as a rental car while my xB was in the shop having some work done....and i must say its a POS. for a 2005 model i had crank windows, no power windows, no power locks, no power mirrors, no tape player, the compartments kept falling out, and the seats moved around like seats covers, and all the controls were these blocky ***** and everything. Not to mention theres no lever for the gas door... u just walk over and open it lol. What a piece. It makes my xB look like a lexus

Its that kind of thinking that makes all the other companies complain about low sales. Too many people think like this, and now Toyota's having massive recalls, shows where that gets you? Mitsu's reliability is coming up though, its not Toyota-like(but they arent having massive recalls, eh?) but it's not where is was 20 years ago. Hyundai is too, lol, but I guess what I'm trying to say is what goes up(Toyotas reliability...) must come down...and will eventually go back up again...or so you hope.
