The NBM is slightly darker than IIP.

You really would have to the them side by side to notice the difference... in my opinion. I think they are almost the same.

IF you can afford the 06 , get that one

if you want to save 3,000 in cost and upgrades my blue 05 is for sale,
errrrrrr but its manual, you probably want an auto or you even already have one,

oh dear I just wasted my time typing

From what I know from my IIP experience

My car has two colors.

In the sun: IIP

In the shadows: evil dark blue almost black look to it

From what people are saying the NBM paint is more durable then the IIP and its slighty darker.

you really can't tell from pictures a difference in color. As has been said, you almost need them next to each other. Me personally, i like the 05 color better though.

Pasadena, hmm, you're only like 15-20min from me.

If you see them next to each other there is quite a difference, especially in sunlight. The NB does not have the pearlescent look to it like the IIP. I like the IIP a lot more than the NB because of this. The IIP paint is not as durable than the NB from what I hear, but if mine gets to needing a paint job later on, I will definitely have the shop match it pretty close! I love my IIP!

i personally dont like the red at all... its a flat paint... all the other colors (besides black and white) have flake in the paint... the only thing i like about the rs1.0 tc is the grill

There is definitely a difference in the IIP & NB. The IIP is much brighter & has a very nice metallic. The NB is very dark, has a purple tone, & not metallic. After seeing both colors side by side last weekend at the MD meet, I'm definitely glad I have the IIP. In my opinion the NB is ugly, but to each his own!

When it's overcast outside, the NB deinitely looks more like a deep purple than a dark blue. I'm not the only one who thinks so. In fact, a comment was made joking with the guy if people ever ask him why he bought a purple car.
