for sponsorship...there's a saying..."you need to spend money to make money" For most sponsorship, you need to have either a race ready or show ready car...then sponsors might notice you if you have it entered in races or shows. Some people even drop close to 20k before they have legitimate sponsors (carsponsorships.com excluded) here's a link to help you learn a little more...

The CAI hasn't caused any problems so far. My toyota tech modded it for me and it seems to run fine.

The only mods on the s/c are a bosch 110 bpv and the CAI. I'm trying to keep it under warranty otherwise I would have bought a used setup, installed it myself, and saved about $2K. As is, I have to change the BPV back to stock if I go in for warranty work.

Sponsorship has actually very little to do with the car and more of what you can offer a company. Yes you wont get any incredibly enticing offers from companies, but if you are ready to dedicate a lot of time offering companies a considerable amount of exposure in shows, media, and other desirable venues where the companies could benefit.

You have a good start. Work on developing a consistent theme and try to establish some success in car shows. Contact some local shops and pick up their support as a first sponsor. Look for companies that have sponsorship links on their sites and contact them this fall and see if you could land a couple 20%-30% off sponsorships. Once you have 2-3 solid sponsors and your car is winning more shows and maybe getting a couple features here and there in small media outlets, then hit up the bigger name companies and you could see 50% off deals. If you get that far and have dropped like 50k into your 20k car... then you get free stuff lol a bit too late.

True, it's not my life's ambition to become sponsored. It's a hobby, and a passion of mine, but I have a mortguage, a job, and a wife that come first. I've had this car for 3 months and I've worked my a** off on it. Your car is hands down one of the best I've seen here, but you've been working on it for 2 years now.

I know the car needs more work, but it's going to happen. It just takes time.

you have a long ways to go before you should be seeking any type of sponsorship
