You can't do it. I already called Custom Lightz and they can't put it in the low beam. You can put it in the high beam although just that would look weird.
Im sure it can be done. Where there's a will thees a way. Just wait a couple months and i bet u'll see a few of them.
I spoke to them again yesterday. They said because of the housing on the low beam that angel eyes/ccfl was not possible at the time. They have to wait till Umnitza or someone else makes the DIY angel eye kit which should be out in couple of months. That's what he told me.

once the tab is pushed down, it will stay down, its metal so it wont bend back, this works good but some light may sneak through a crack that is left after bending,

with the JBweld soda can trick, you need to comepletely remove the tab by pushing and pulling untill the metal snaps, kinda like a paper clip, and after placing the piece over it completely, u will have no glare at all

Interesting, like guy said though, will the piece of aluminum stand up to the temperatures needed. But it did solve the problem. I have quite a bit of things to do to these headlamps before they go onto my car. LOL so when i do the squirrel fix, it should be about 10x easier because the headlights will have to be apart for what i need.

Do u really ahve to remove the tab? The pic from toyotanation didnt look like they removed the tab. From what i understand, didnt he use a dental pick to bend it up first, put the soda can+ jb weld, then bend it back down all the way?

However this doesn't mean anything because all you really need is a plug that fits a H11 bulb and I'm sure there are other vehicles out there that us the H11. You might even be able to get them at a local parts store for all I know.

I'll post more as I get it
H11 for which beam?

I've read the whole thread, and still am wondering if my 9006 low beam HID bulbs will work with the '08 headlights.

I believe the low beams are H11 and the high beams are 9005 with all of the other signal bulbs remaining the same. So in other words, the only difference between 05-07 housings and 08 housings "bulb wise" is the low beams.

If you have the OEM fog lights you could put them in there. The fogs take 9006 bulbs.
