3M Clear Bra Install
Just posting my experiences with getting a clear bra installed.
I purchased the full kit from rockblocker.com.
- hood
- bumper
- mirrors
- sunroof
- fog lights
- 3rd brake light overlay (which they still have never sent me)
Searched for a local installer and none could be found. Ended up having to drive from Kansas City out to St. Louis to find an installer who was willing to install it and not charge an outrageous fee. I ended up at UltraShield of STL and he (Mark) did an amazing job. So far so good. I haven't had a chance to wash car and get a good look at it since my windshield took a rock on the way home and I am waiting to get that repaired before washing it.
Comments:
- Rockblocker's kit was decent.
- Front bumper piece did NOT cover the entire bumper, only to just under the headlights. The last 8" or so of the bumper on the sides was not covered.
- Rockblocker's customer service was initially great when I couldn't find an installer, they tried to help locate one for me. After a week, they quit returning phone calls and e-mails and I still don't have my 3rd brake light overlay.
- If you do not live within driving distance of RockBlocker or already have an installer that knows what they are doing, look locally for a company that sells and installs the kits.
- UltraShield of STL is great. They even arranged a Saturday install for me so I could drive in from KC. I found them on the 3m website as a certified installer.
So all together, I think it cost me around $850.
~$500 for Rockblocker
~$350 for installation
Mark with UltraShield told me he would have sold me the product and installed it for just a little more than what I bought the product for. You live and learn. Anyways, just my experiences. I'll post an update when I actually get to wash and wax the car and get to closely inspect it all.

If anyone is in the Los Angles area, we are now authorized to sell and install the kits. We have already done several cars, including an STi, an Odyssey, a Volvo, and a TSX. PM me for prices and appointments. Also, I am getting ready to add the kits to the website, so that people out of state can order as well. Obviously out of state customers will have to find an installer in their area.

I finally took some pictures with the bra installed. No wax yet, just finally washed it.
You can't even see the lines unless you really look for them.

You can see the line where the rockblocker bumper piece ends and the installer added to cover the entire bumper.

I need to get a better whole car picture. I didn't realize this one came out so dark until I pulled them off my camera.
