Default 5000K HID's

Just ordered my 5000K HID's, i was going to get the 6000k but thought they might be more blue then i'd want. Got em from 3bspecialties.com for 160 with the slim ballasts. I did a search on how many ppl had 5000K and didnt really find any. Next are VRD foglights and VRD titanium grill. I'll hopefully have em installed and post pics in a couple days.

please post pics of ur 5k kit from them once u get it and post pics of where u installed the ballasts. I am wanting to get some 5k HID's but don't know where to mount the ballasts without removing the bumper.

Also I would HIGHLY recommend getting the VRD foglights. I love mine and they were super easy to install. removing and reinstalling the underbody was the hardest part.

Will do. You didnt have to cut anything when you installed your fogs?

nope not at all. I have the RS1 front lip though and not the ground effects one. If u have the GFX kit u will have to cut the front lip.

I want straight up white. For one thing there is a lot more light output with 5k rather than something like 8K and I don't want the blue. I want HID's for the brighter and farther lighting.

I just have plain stock. I'm positive you don't have to remove your bumper (unless you want to have more room to work with) to place your ballasts. I've been reading almost all of the HID threads and have seen people put there ballasts on without bumper removal

I can't wait for pics. I've been wanting to get some 5000k's. If they look good, I might get some HID's for my VRD fogs.

Do it man. At first, I was scared that it was gonna be a hard install, and it turned out to be pretty easy, except for taking out the panels underneath the car.

Plus, they look great.

I will send you pictures of where I mounted them tomorrow.......it is dark here now an dmy camera sucks.........

I have the DocI radiator plate over the top of them so it is very out of site........the ballasts get a little air flow to stay cool.........but they are basically hung from the outer screws on the cross bar in front of the radiator..........

5000k will look nice and white........I went with 6000k in my 08 projectors and they are white, and have a little blue tint at the edge of the cutoff and a bit from the side..........

I will post a photo tomorrow......
