Default Aftermarket side mirrors

I came out to my car on friday night and some ________ smashed the passenger mirror off!!

Toyota wants $200 for a mirror!

I see these ones that are unpainted. I suspect it's cheaper to buy this and have it painted Flint Mica but how is the quality?

http://www.discountautomirrors.com/catalog/?N=1709+11674+4294962484&Nr=AND%28part:Mirror,brand:Kool%20Vue%29&Ns=price3|0

Then as I was looking for mirrors on the web, I see these that are pretty cool looking... Are they good quality? I'm thinking of replacing the pair then since two of these are STILL cheaper than one Toyota mirror!

Anyone know of other quality side mirrors or a good place to get a replacement in case?

^ Agreed. I don't like any of the aftermarket mirrors at all. I would go with the one from ebay and paint it..

check around to local junk yards and salvage yard. sometimes there's websites that will list them. they may not be same color, but it'll work til you can get it painted

I smashed mine a while back too, got one from trdsparks. They run for about $150

Install was quick and easy and it's worked like a charm since. I would caution those cheaper side mirrors because you get what you pay for. LEDs may go out fast etc.

i ordered mine from 1aauto. great fitament, but if you are planning on changing the leds it will not work. the motor and the tabs of the mirrors are different from stock. but if you are keeping em amber get em, definitly a great aftermarket product.

please dont go for those m3 style mirrors. my friend put em on his altima and i thought he stole em of a GSXR lol. the mirrors that come with them are HORRBILE. can see sh*t, just a word of advice

So are you saying that I need to order a pair of these then to match? I just have the stock mirrors now and need to replace the passenger one. Do they LOOK identical? Also, how much do you estimate it would be to have my body-shop paint it to match my Flint Mica (stock) ones? b/c if it's more than like $50, I'd be better off just getting a pre-painted Flint Mica Toyota one online for $150...

just buy the side that needs replacing. the cover needs to be painted. since my left cover was black i did not paint the other side. The fitament is dead on. the mirror quality is good too. so if your looking for a inexpensive replacement then go with these. i dont know how much a body shop will charge to paint em. Id call around first to see which is the most cost effective way to go.

whats included with the mirror:
new foam that goes around the base of the mirror when installing.
2 new bolts

everything else is plug and play. cant tell the difference.

hope that helps

Well, sadly, after two warnings, I've opted against those M3 mirrors. I just don't understand why aftermarket parts have to be so suck. How hard can it be to make a f'n mirror!? Thanks for the TRDSparks link. I just ordered on there. I figure if I went with the $70 ones and had to get painted, it's just too much hassle. Toyota wants $200, my body shop wanted $250 for the mirror alone, so for $150+$13 shipping, I just get it, bolt it on and I'm done.

^^^almost anything aftermarket sucks fitment wise. a company will get one to fit right and from there start mass producing them, and then things can get off slightly and keep going and goingect.... causing products to have crap fitment
