I ordered a pair of altezza tail lights from ebay...but the power harness doesn't look the same as the stock tail lights. The stock one is white and thicker and is a female end, but the altezza harness is black and thinner and isn't a female. it has two metal lines on both sides. I haven't tried to install them yet because one was actually shipped cracked. Has anyone else had like this problem??? Thanks

 

Dude, get a REFUND FAST.......

NEVER buy ANYTHING from Ebay... Light bulbs might be ok, but like, blinker bulbs only! DO NOT EVER buy from ebay... thats all CRAP.

If its cracked, send them back for sure.

 

Im sending it back but the guy just wants me to send back the one that's cracked. The harness still looks different

 

take out your stock harness and remove the bulbs. Does the altezza plugs fit where the bulbs were, if so then you're set...just search around next time and you'll find your answer. Like this:

yeah, when I got mine I was like WTF!!! But gathered myself and looked for some help on here. Wish they would include better instructions...if you need any help with install let me know, it was super easy!

 

Installing it seemed easy i had the bumper off and everything, which was difficult and I went to put one of the lights in and realized the tip was cracked. I got so mad I made my boyfriend put the car back together. I didn't even test it because I was upset. I'll try again when I get the replacement light.

yeah this is so annoying i just wanted them to work and i really dont think their gonna... what was the ebay name you ordered from? did they look like this?

Its the same ones, but I ordered them from a different guy. Someone told me you're supposed to take out the bulb and the harness fits in the bubl socket.

 

if they're the ones like on bbist... you remove the OEM harness and use it. I have the bbist ones and that's how you do it. The one connector from the tail lights is for the LED's only, and you use your stock reverse bulb and turn signal bulb harnesses. They supplied a yellow bulb, but i went and got chrome bulbs...

be careful with these lights. i have had them on my car for a little over 2 months now, and the right brake light (passanger light) doesnt get brighter when the brake is engauged, and about 3 of the leds have a bad connection (leds flicker). so im trying to get in contact with the manufacture to see what can be done about this
