Default any california cops in here that could answer this...

i ran a couple searches and i didnt get the answer i was looking for. i pretty much ordered the angel eye projectors from themodcity. i plan on getting an h1 HID kit (8000k) to go along with it. Now..

are these illegal to have on my car? i believe it still has the amber side marker on it.

and a question for people that have these angel eyes. do they work with stock bulbs?

If those new lights have appropriate DOT symbol markings on them, and produce what can be considered "white" light, they could be legal.

If they are missing DOT markings or are not white they are not.

Here's the "Quick and Dirty" page to make a first cut at determining if accessories or modifications are legal in Kalifornia:

http://www.chp.ca.gov/html/streetlegal.html

Good luck!

Tomas

P.S. The state code there often refers to federal regulation compliance, as do MOST states in one way or another. If one is really interested in the federal regs (cfr49.571.10, which in most cases are treated as the minimum, and override state laws, here's a start for you:
