and def try the screw on the inside if you haven't... when I got mine, they were pointed straight at the ground, but they were fine once I adjusted them.

also, how do u install the bulb itself? and i read that both were h1s? or h1 low and h7 high? what did u use flea?

 

also, i just talked to kiss_kiss_kill and she used he stock bulbs and they have been fine. which is most likely what im going to use. how did u guys get the other bulbs to work?

I just baked mine open... wow what a pain! But now that I have them open, I have no idea how you would disconnect the led's. Do you just cut the wires? Also, do I leave the led's in there or should I take them out?

tctctc the h7 bulbs are for the lows and h1 for the highs.. to disconnect the leds you will have to open the headlights and clip the wires...

 

How did everything go?? My project of fixing the cutoff went kabooie lol. I think I'll get a new pair and just fiddle with the little screw on the back.

As for my project with these.... it's still in progress... I pretty much just took them apart and painted a little design on the reflectors. I got somebody who said they wanted to take a look at the LEDs and see what they could do, but it's taking forever! If he doesn't do it by this weekend, I'll just go with my original idea and finish them up myself.

After going to the Scion Exposed this past weekend, kinda made me feel good that I didn't see anybody else with these on.... so yay for me!

 

lol. You're more patient then me. I'd need to finish everything in one day. Right now I'm baking my lights to see if I can fix the cut off that isn't there lol. Wish me luck.

Question, what if you go higher then what the cutoff was normally? Will this reduce lighting? I know I went an inch lower and I had no cutoff at all.

 

Trust me... I wanted everything done in 1 day. But once it got to the LEDs, I had no clue what I was doing and didn't wanna do anything to mess it up. And then I found somebody who wanted to take a look at them, but it's been at least a couple weeks I've taken them apart, so I can't wait much longer.

I didn't really take a close look at the cutoff since I wasn't really concerned with that. Once I adjusted the little screw in the back, it was fine for me. I would think if you went any higher, you probably would lose some light output. Although don't take my word for it.... I really have no idea about that stuff.

I'm glad to see more and more people modding their anzo's. First off I found it easiest just to cut the wires to the led's, removed the led boards, and covered up the holes with electrical tap so no light would escape throught the holes. As for the projectors dessilu, I highly recommend just buying some REAL projectors and retro fit them in. I tried many times modding the cuttoff of the anzo projectors, but at the end of the day, I couldn't stand the uneven beam and poor light distribution no matter what I did to the cuttoff plate. I hope everything works out, and let me know if you have more questions.

 

I've decided to finish these up tomorrow... my plan is to just disconnect the LEDs and cover them up with something.... hopefully all goes well....

 

Took me bout 4 hours last night... but I finally finished them. (for now anyway)
