Default Anzo tails installation trouble, new problem help pwweease!

EDIT

OK, i understand that the LED's plug into where the bulbs are, here's the problem. They DO NOT light up. I tried reversing each plug, pluggin them into the other ones, I'm pretty sure I tried it all. The reverse light works, when i put the bulbs back in their plugs, they work, just the tails won't light up. Are they defective?!! Someone please put in your input.

Try resetting your ecu maybe, might be some type of safety mechanism or something. Check to see if you blew a fuse somewhere as well while your battery is unplugged so your ecu can reset...

yeah i had that problem where the brakes wouldnt light up. toyota told me it was something about the brake switch. it jus happened randomly one day and i had to pry open the tiny hole on the shifter panel and press that to get into drive. but this was only to get home. the brake lights will not light up while you're driving if you still have this problem so be careful. mine fixed itself somehow..

Well, originally i took out the brake fuse, and this happened, then i put it back in its right spot and it was fixed. I tried doing that just now and it didn't work. How can if i blew a fuse. I didn't connect my battery while I was doing all this, maybe that was my dumb mistake....The bad thing is I need to go somewhere tongiht and I have no car as of now...

Alright well, I blew the brake fuse, luckily I had another number 10 so i plugged that in, and it works now. AHHH. Could this explain why the tail light swouldn't light up? I dunno. THe reverse lights worked, the original lights still worked like turn signals. Maybe my tails are defective.

Are you trying to say you didn't disconnect your battery? If so that would cause your problems, I would imagine.

I didn't disconnect my battery when I installed mine. That shouldn't be a problem.

Really? Well, I blew the fuse, i dunno what from, maybe turning on the car. If it isn't the fuse, I think i have defective tails. I connected each LED plug pos to neg, neg to pos, they never lit up. I really just want them to work

Where did you buy them from?

Also make sure your not plugging the turn signal plugs for the brake plugs.

You don't live that far from me... if your free one day and wanna stop by I can help you out and confirm if you've got a defective ones or not.

Yeah, some times when you switch the tails or bulbs to LEDs the fuse willl blow. You do not need to disconnect your battery but you do need to remove the fuse BEFORE installation. This happened to a friend of mine when he tried to put LEDs into the stock tail housing of his tC.
