Not my thing, but whatever floats yer boat.
look, i said this kit is urethane. meaning, it wont crack hitting a speed bump. fiberglass will. dont be a noob. research b4 u post cuz knowing is half the battle.
Yep, and urethane flops and flexes more, so it is the PAINT that cracks on them over time. They first ran into this with abs bumper covers, the paint eventually begins cracking due to the flexing, and that part of the car has a lot of support. I saw a urethane kit on a honda the other day that shows part of this. With it being a soft material, there were CHUNKS missing due to bottoming out, not to mention the paint was full of stress cracks. For show cars they are ok besides the way that they make all cars look basically the same (which is another reason I dont like them), but for daily drivers I have never seen a full kit that looked good after any amount of time. I do love being behind one on the highway and laughing at the way the fenders flop in the breeze though Again, just my .02

Good looking car, but I like the rest of the people in this thread hope she doesn't drive it too much.

I would love to kit my car, but I drive around in Laguna Beach and through Los Angeles a lot.

It's the same reason I'm loathe to lower my car--even though it would look really nice.

Also--is it just me, or did she replace the stock rims with rims that look exactly like the stock rims, in a different color?

hahaha I'm with ya Scott. I don't get what the big deal is. Anyway, I've thought of lowering my car and kitting it out. But I think if someone wants to do that, they should get a second beater car. Some old peice of junk to be the daily driver and just take out the scion on weekends. That's how I feel about turboing the scion too. If I've gotta put premium gas in it, I don't plan on driving it back and forth to work everyday. It'd be worth it to get a second ride to cut down on gas and the longevity of the kit.

At any rate, it's true, if you drive you car on the street something WILL happen. After I kitted my celica and repainted it, I babied that car like you would not believe. It got rock chips, scrapes, and got keyed a few times. Unless it's a showcar, it will get messed up a little. That doesn't mean you shouldn't do it. You just have to decide whether you can take seeing those things happen to your car.

And... back to the topic... heheh sheesh. Some of the most likely places to get messed up when you have a daily driven kitted car (especially fiberglass) is in the wheel wells where rocks fly up and hit, obviously the front of the car, and as we've been talking about the bottom front. If ever you do put fiberlass sideskirts on, try to find a way to protect them from rock chips. If you notice, on the 350Z there is a clear rock gaurd tape used to protect the wheel wells. Perhaps you could find something like that to help gaurd the kit if 2 cars aren't in the budget

So... if I have to come back in here and clean crap up... there will be MULTIPLE warnings handed out.

Keep it clean and on topic. If there are problems with opinions ADDRESS THEM IN PMs.

its not too bad of a kit when you see the front and whole thing, not just the side view. One point though... the owner might want to start watching out for cats falling asleep on that lip.
