Default Best Headlight Assembly?

What is the best headlight assembly? My lights need adjusted,
but the adjustment screws don't do anything. So I am looking at replacing the housings.

Probably the best 1g assembly for output is going to be the '08-'10 OEM or TYC projector housing with an HID kit. Most of the aftermarket options I've seen have pretty awful output. Of course a retrofit is going to be better in every way, but the stock projectors are pretty adequate for a vehicle in this price range.

Will the 08-10 OEM work for the 2005 Scion tC?

Forgot to put my year in the first post.

I believe it will fit, but it may require different bulb sizes. I am not up to date on the 1g's but I'm sure it's been done before.

EDIT:

From another site:

YES

THEY WILL SWAP BETWEEN ALL YEARS 2005-2010.

The only thing is that the projector style (08-10) use a H11 low beam bulb, while the reflector style (05-07) use a 9006.
The plug is different. There are simple ways around this.

You can buy a adapter harness (I think about $
OR
You can just get a set of HID or LED bulbs if you want.
When ordering just tell them you need the PLUG FOR 9006 but you need a H11 bulb.

That is what I did when I had mine.
Or....if you have HID already.... then just buy a pair of H11 bulbs and you are done.

Yes they will fit as Drizzoh mentioned. I run the '08 OEM projectors on my 2005 tC, it can be retrofit. I use a 6000K HID kit and that plugs right into the factory bulb harness. I chose to change the rest of the bulbs in the headlights to LED. So high beams, parking lights, side markers and turn signals are all LED bulbs. Don't use LED bulbs for the low beams. They have a terrible beam pattern and are dim. HID kits are the best all around for brightness and correct beam pattern and use the 35W kits. Also you do not need to take the front bumper off completely to install the headlight assemblies. Just release the top clips of the bumper and the two bolts in the wheel well area, on each side, that hold the edges of the bumper there and unclip the bumper. This allows the bumper to slightly bend forward and outward on the edges to give access to the bolts holding the headlight assemblies. Take out the old headlights and drop in the new headlights using the same bolts. They use the same mounting points. Then just reverse the steps for the bumper to fasten it down again. And don't forget to adjust the low beams after install. You don't want to be blinding oncoming drivers with your fresh new projectors. ; )

I should have checked here, first. Just installed new 2007/2008/2009 OEM clones and paid $105.00 each. The supplier said their 2005/2006/2007 at $65 each would not fit because my car was manufactured in the second half of 2007. They looked pretty darn close in the pics but I played it safe and bought the later model.

These were easy to install and have an 11 year warranty.
