Default dyi headlight film !

I wanted to do the yellow headlight film just for a few days to enjoy the look haha,I know headlight armor sells them, has anyone ever just tried making their own from scratch ? I duno what can be used maybe transparent yellow wrapper or the stuff the use with the gift baskets, since the xb headlight is square it could be simple, if this is a silly idea though I will just forget it

Uh, the cellophane wouldn't work. Just go to a vinyl shop and buy some transparent vinyl and cut it yourself.

I think they make some yellow spray tint stuff too? Why does the cover lays cost so dang much? Seems like they would make more money on volume if they lowered their prices on that stuff. Almost 30 bucks for 2 pieces of film/vinyl... Give me a break Paleese??

Exactly!

Not quite on topic, but I did eyebrwos with window tint (the static cling kind). I bought a roll for $4.00 (was a windshield strip) and it has held up great for well over a year.

I tried that on my spare tails, but alas, did not work.

I believe they sale it at wal-mart and automotive stores(static cling tint)It may be for homes at wal-mart or lowes, as it's universal.Yeah! that would be funny peeling them off after getting stopped, which you would't.I have a JDM illuminated license plate on my Accord and put it on a switch incase they were to pull me for it.I try and turn it off if i notice a roller, but they get me anyway for "other reasons".Sorry, i went way off topic here...

There all kinds of different color tints out there. They work ok if the area you are doing is kinda flat like stock tails. Try in on the headlights it may work, if it doesn't you didn't invest much. The spray stuff might work on the outside then if you don't like it just remove it with some rubbing alcohol. Let us know what you end up trying and do take some pics to share.
