BSP paint from paintscratch.com result? Updated!
I have a bsp tc that was recently in a fender bender. My friend is going to do the bodywork because he has been doing for a while, that's pretty much his job. I need to provide the paint. Has anyone ordered the bsp paint off the website? Is it close to the oem color? The site said you need both the base and clearcoat off the website, or can you use any clearcoat? Any info would be helpful thanks.
I use Carquest to do paint matching. They have a scan tool that analyze your paint in it's current condition rather than just the factory code when new so it matches better. Check them out, but yeah, depending on color, if it needs pearl, metallic, etc the price can be $50-$100.
I honestly don't know. I'm two-toned with the upper painted with the 2005 tC's Silver Streak Mica. I later went to paint my grill and wanted the silver to match what was already on the car. For that, it matched perfectly, and silver is another color that's hard to match. It's easy to make too light, too dark, too blue or too red. They matched it perfectly in both tint and metallic, I would guess they would do the same with the BSP. All the paint is DuPont along with the color matching scan tool and software so it's pretty good stuff.
I went there and bought a pint of the primer, a pint of the basecoat, and a pint of the clearcoat. A total of 126 after tax. They even gave me instruction for mixing and painting. They didn't use that scan tool thought, so I'm hoping it comes out fine. This is just a temporary fix until I can get the money to bring it to the shop. I went to the dealer body shop and they want 2100.
So I went to carquest and bought the paint and the paint was just a perfect color match. It had the right amount of flakes. I dropped my car on Fri and my friends had it done by Sat evening.
