I was under the impression that the orange could be removed from the sidemarkers using nail polish remover or some kind of paint thinner. I'm not sure if its possible though, has anyone removed the orange? Did everyone actually make replacement clear sidemarkers?

 

pretty sure they are formed from orange plastic and not painted so I do not think they can be washed in thinner to remove color.

I put them in nail polish remover and it actually made it look more of a solid brighter orange than a darker or transparent orange. Is anyone still selling clear corners? If no, does anyone know how to make them?

 

go to lowes/home depot and buy the ceiling light panel.



and just cut to size and glue.

 

the sidemarkers are concaved on one side though. Is that an issue or should I try to heat the plastic to bend it?

 

i think while its being glued on, blow dry it from the inside.

 

yea its been done but the problem is that the light panel isht turns a nasty yellowish color over time.

and yes that orange is IN the plastic so theres really no way to get it out.

 

 

So i bought the plastic light fixture material from Home Depot. Only problem is, I'm not really sure how to cut it. I tried industrial scissors and a knife, but the plastic just starts cracking off into pieces. What's the best way to do this?
