Hey guys,

I have a 9006 fitment HID kit (8000k) and im looking to switch it over to a H1 fitment in order to go with a set of projectors. I was wondering, would i need a completely new HID kit? What would i need to buy to switch it over?

youll only need new bulbs. you can use the same igniters and ballasts.

no. you just need new bulbs and harnesses for connecting the ballast to the headlight.

 

^^^, you don't need a new harness. If he's just switching to h1 projector, he will only need the bulb which has the universal connector that plugs into the existing wirings coming off the ballast. The original ballast will just plug into the 9006 harness.

Now if you're using regular halogen bulbs, then you do need the harness that converts from 9006 to h1.
