im trying to change the license plate lights with blue ones but for some reason i cant pull out the housing to change it. anybody done this before and got a tip for me? its a _____ and ____in me off lol

 

yeah it took me a while to get mine out. I actually ended up breaking one of the little tabs that holds it in to get it out. But it still stays in fine.

You just have to work at it, a few minutes and a few cuss words later, you'll have it..haha

 

its a lil tough first time, you can use some pliers to twist it

 

u need to twist them with the pliers to take them out... i tried to take them out with my fingers for like 10 min until i got my pliers. took only like a second to take them out lol

 

what size bulbs to they take?

 

you can use same light bulb as your domes.. 158/194 bulbs

 

u don't need to take the housing out to change the 194 bulbs.... just twist the connector and it pops out....

the first time is actually hard;...pliers does magic... lol just don't crush the connectors

 

if your gonna use pliers, be very careful not to snap the plastic.
....either way, it was a pain in the a$$.

 

be carefel when u twist them out though.. you dont wanna snap anything off

and also i dont recoomend blue leds for the license place.. thats gonna get you pulled over for sure

i have blue leds in my parking lights but i have hids too and from a distance they over power the blue so cops cant see

 

Definitely stay away from red, blue, and green LEDs!! Those will get you pulled over fo' sho'!!

white with hint of blue will be fine.. like HID look

 

i recommend pure white ones! makes ur car look like those 'high end' cars haha
