Cost to paint lip kit?
How much does a typical body shop charge to paint a lip kit? Or maybe just a front lip? I'm just looking for a ballpark numberbefore I pull the trigger on this mod...
^and sand paper as well dont forget if you just spray paint and clear coat it especially since you are using spray paint it will come out crappy without sanding it right.
depends they got different packages
crazy idea... but maybe you can use paint and a roller? haha It might wear off but have you heard of the $50 paint job?

lol you can get a paint job for 300 bucks at maaco. They wouldnt charge much but I would lose total respect for anybody who would ever go to maaco.
I'm a painter and I went to one to find a job and their like ok well let us show you around.
1. They wont remove door handels or pieces if their going to paint, They mask it and paint around. So when you take the masking tape off you have that razor line of clear that will eventually peal off in the next few months.
2. The paint is the cheapest quality. Dupont or RM clear/ A set of clear is maybe 500 dollars. Not a can for a customer, a set for a body shop. A gallon of clear, chromobase or w.e and 3 more components that all equal up to maybe 3 gallons.
Maaco pays less than 200 for a 5 gallon set. That makes the clear easy to burn when sanding and buffing and will always leave swirl marks because its a soft clear.
3. They are more worried about getting the job done fast then getting it right because allot of cheapies go there.
4. Its just not rite
If you do go to maaco be sure to check your stuff out on the spot. My pop took his car there (hes a cheapo) and when he got it back the door looked beautiful. When I touched it, it was all greasy and glazed. I took out a micro fiber cloth and tried wiping it down and it felt like somebody put grease on the door. It turns out it was sprayed with instant shine after it was polished because they didn't polish it rite and it didn't leave a shine. So they took instant shine to give it to effect of a perfect job. So when I washed off the instant shine it was dull. I had to spend the next hr buffing and polishing the door myself.
Shows what 80 bucks gets you.
I pmed you and told you that I can do it with a warranty the right way in a shop. Id be more than happy to do it for you but if you find some place els that you like better then by all means go there I don't want to be pushy.

P.S I didnt get a job there because it was an insult what they would pay me for wanting to do the job rite.
And I dont even think Maaco mixes clear. I think they buy it already mixed like that clear you can get from Auto Zone.
Dupont or RM is the best quality. Well some of the best. I think then its House of Kolor, Seakent or how ever its spelled.
But if Maaco can do it for a cheap price and give you a life warranty then do that and get it repainted every month or 2 when it goes bad. Just watch out because after the third time you paint it, it will start chipping because thats too much paint. A paint job is already thick enough.

that 50 dollar paint job.. Id never do it. Id paint my car the right way. I bet if you look close in real life you'll see imperfections. Besides... You cant paint a car with out its own separate clear coat. It just wont last long. It says 8 months but I doubt thats his daily driver.
