Default driving light bulb in an 08 tC

Who knows the size?

Is it same as in 05-07 ? the 194?

My GF got an HIDs, but still has them ugly little yellow bulbs.. want to get her superwhite LEDs...

thanks in advance.

LED manufactuers don't recomend that you use LED's in the headlight housing. The reason being the heat will damage/melt the plastic LED bulbs. I installed them on mine and it looked good but I took them off. I didn't have them on for long on there. I used them for my interior dome lamp instead. I got the blue tinted conventional style bulbs in there now. You can try LED's if you want. Let me know if they melt or not.

i used to have them in my headlights. they would melt.
But she is not using HIDs and soon there will be nothing but strobes in the housing, so it should be fine.
She'll need them bulbs not for long anyway.. if everything will be ok, we'll be the beta-testers for Rages halos.

go there,

the leds wouldn't melt unless they were hid above 6000k and halogen are a little hotter then some hid's.

parking lamp LEDs should be fine in the 08s sine they're in the high beam "circle" and the projector housing would keep the heat away anyway.

yeah, unless you drive w/ your high beams on 24/7, i doubt your parking lights are in that much danger in 08s.

I have an 08 and I have a LED inthe driving light for over 2 months now and it is fine..........05-07 has the bulb in the low beam and it burns out quickly..........08it is gonna last a longer time as the heat is not directly on it and no one with HIDs is driving with high beams on........my lows are brighter than most peoples lows and highs.............

it is the 194 bulb also........168 i think works as well.........I got mine from shucks for $12.........pretty cheap to get rid of the yellow tinted bulb.............put an orange one in and when I am just driving with the parking lights on it looks really nice........kinda like eyes in a pumpkin with the side markers orange lense .....LOL.........
