Emblem SWAP
your call and all, so do what you want. Personally I dont like it. Sure it is made by toyota, but it is a SCION. Just seems silly to me. You dont see Chevy people putting GM emblems all over their cars, or lexus guys putting toyota badges on. Hell some Dodge minivans had the same engine as a Mitsubishi 3000GT... but I dont see the DSM logo on any of those
I too wonder why everyone drools over JDM so much. It simply means a car is made for the Japanese market, nothing else. Makes it no better unless for some reason a JDM version with better features was released. Just seems like so many wish thier car was something else these days. JDM means nothing to me. Actually, I would be more proud if my car was 100% US made, and if GM would pull thier heads out a little more and build some better stuff again I would happily drive a 100% US made car. After all, buying those HELPS our economy, where I spend my money
I just wonder if the kids these days are just ashamed for some reason to own something American (in which case, they are ruining us day by day with that attitude) or if it is just the "it is foreign, so it is cool" mentality? Not bashing.. just something to ponder

American cars these days just suck.....thats why i will never buy any gm or ford product......ill stick with foreign....last longer and safer....not to mention my family LOVES vdubs so its just something i grew up on too....i work for a car company and i see what we do and what american companies do.....so ill stay with foreign...i do agree with you if american brands with give 100% and what not....but that wont happen....at least not anytime soon
The Toyota emblem looks like a sombrero, no thank you.
The only reason why a certain JDM product would be desireable to me is if it offered more power than it's US counterpart. And since the tC isn't sold in Japan in any form, then it makes no sense to mimick something that doesn't exist... just my two cents.

Well... if build quality is a concern.. I sure wouldnt be a VW fan
Some of the American cars are coming back around, but unfortunately they are starting with the higher end cars. I own a 96 Saturn, which so far is more reliable than any other car I have had short of a 78 Corolla. When the 4Runner or tC hits 170,000 miles with almost no issue I will be able to compare them to the Saturn
I own the Toyota and the Scion partly because of reliablity, which the newer American cars have been lacking, or at least the ones that I would want to buy. But that doesnt make me anti american car. If they start coming back around I would buy a Chevy in a heartbeat (no pun intended). I have no issue with buying foriegn when it is more reliable (and honestly, outside of honda and toyota I dont know of too many truly super reliable foriegn automakers... including BMW). But so many kids these days just seem anti american anything regardless of quality. That is just... well.... dumb when you are an American

I wouldn't mind going badgeless at all...actually that was my first choice...my only beef was how to get the oval filled. I saw a post about that, so if someone, or the same person wouldn't mind posting how to fill the oval, please tell me!
