Emblem SWAP
I just ordered a badgless garnish from i-Kona yesterday, I can't wait. I ordered one rather than trying to do it myself because trying to match that factory gloss is a real b*tch! (lol that and I broke a few of the studs on my garnish
)
Where is your antenna?
And to engifineer, I'd have no problem buying American when it comes to cars but the fact is none truly appeal to me the way foreign (Japanase, actually) makes do. Whether it's luxury cars like Lexus to youth-oriented brands like Scion. I fell in love with the tC instantly the first time I saw the brochure. That's never happened with any American car but I welcome the prospect. I check out new models from Dodge and Chevy from time to time but still nothing. American automakers introduce and phase out models way too much which worries me about their resale value if the car you buy will be discontinued in 5 years or less. As far as reliability is concerned, GM is right under Toyota and Honda, all they need to work on is style. Ford has a long way to go and Dodge needs to hire a new chief designer.

I agree on Dodge... they havent built a good tranny in over 40 years though.. so they have some work to do
I dont like thier styling either. The whole car that looks like a tank or ugly pt cruiser look is awful to me. The Challenger looks great, but they basically copied the old Challenger so I expected it to... but it is a bit on the pricey side
But as far as phasing out models, that is what most do. Toyota shoots for 3 -5 years I think. The tC is on its way out and will be replaced soon, we just dont know with what. It could be a look alike with a different name, or a completely different car. Some of thier popular cars hang out longer. Obviously the camry has not and will not go away any time soon. But when I bought my tC in 04, they were saying to expect 3 years tops before they changed out. But who knows, they may keep making them as well with the popularity.
I just wish GM would put the same mentality behind other cars as they do the vette. The Z06 is a $70,000 car that has to be compared to cars well over $100,000 performance wise. That says tons about what they can do for the price... they just dont do it yet with thier other cars. I agree styling has gone stagnant for them, but it looks like they may be coming out of it a bit. I almost cried when they stopped using the 350 in everything. That is probably the best all around engine they have ever built IMO. But, I can get a crate, turnkey 350 complete with fuel injection and the ECU for it brand new for about $4000... ready to drop in a car and start up, that produces a bit over 350 hp stock with tons of potential........ now I just need a car to put it in :D

i would suggest not doing the emblem swap. it's stupid, and wait. in due time your car will be on other car websites under the RICE thread because you can't get your brand straight.
