Default front license plate removal

I took off the front license tag from my TC...gotta admit it looks a hellofalot better without it

anyway i'm from NY, and like most states it's illegal to not have a front licence plate....but plenty of people around me have done it, and just keep the front plate accessable in their cars

my question is this. how to cover those unsightly drill holes in my front bumper...

some people suggest fasteners, which i have, but i'm afraid if i put em in, i won't be able to get em back out should i need to put the licence tag back on (for whatever reason)

any suggestions, before i jam two fasteners into the drill holes

I'm sure this is what your talking about, I'd just do this and if you have to put the plate back on, you can remove the bumper cover and push the fastener back through. He relocated his plate to the lower grill which I think looks better than on the bumper IMO.

I'm not sure about NY, but I use to live in MA and know a few people that got hasseled by the cops for no front plate even though it was in the windshield.

a 5/16 or 3/8" x 5-6" all threaded bolt for adjustment, welded to the steel plate. pre-drill steel plate to match license plate holes. big washers for support on the grille. total was around $3, if you know someone that can weld, just show him a pic and he should know the rest!

total should be $3
