you should do a step by step picture process for when you do yours to kinda see a little bit better how it's done.

 

I'll have to bug Erik a lot when I get the right exhaust on my car, one turned up locally for less than expected, should be picking it up soon.

 

Let me know I would love to make a template with a canister exhaust.

x2 on the DIY if possible, man!! i'd just need to buy the tools and materials to get this done.. how long did it take you guys to do it? weekend project or longer than that?

 

How difficult would it be to make the fins a little thicker? Like mold fiberglass or something around them to add a little bit more to the look.

 

What I would do for the fins is either find thicker plastic or take a few of the thinner ones and use black silicone to kind of mold them together.

 

Hmm. That's not a half bad idea. Anyone want to attempt it? lol. It will be a while before I can work on something this. Too much snow and no garage.

 

all i can say, is once this snow melts and actually gets warm enough to drive my bike...

my girlfriend's going to be in new york so i'm going car crazy!!!! haha

this is on my to do list for sure now. and if i can manage this, i'll be doing a front splitter too.

it's just like driving a normal car in the snow. as long as i don't throttle. if i do... forget about it. lol

I just bought my girlfriends brother a paint gun, and we got my stock hood to practice on so once we get the process down perfect we'll paint it.

i could only imagine these making my car look even better after i paint it though. I'm excited. that's for sure! lol

Ok update I got up to my parents shop last night and busted out this little gem.



I know, its a cell phone pic but its cut for the 5a rear and a canister exhaust. I remember someone asking about it for the 5a rear. Also I have some more supplies now so I can make some randomly as I get someone with stock bumpers to come by.

Either way I can make one for the 5a rear all day now...

 

did you make a template out of like cardboard or something then cut the ABS off that, or did you just kinda hold up the abs and then just cut until you got it right?

 

Which canister exhaust are you using? There are some straight ones, angled ones and the really crazy angled ones like Megan and Tsudo Fireball.

 

Kanchi has a megan drift spec.

 

Just held it up and cut. I'm telling you guys this is hella easy.
