I'd pay 50 bucks plus my orginal third brake light.
Hmmm...I'll consider it if I am going to do it, I just don't have another car to drive around so I didn't really consider that. more to come on that issue

hmmm not to jack your thread or anything but there is a DIY on SL for this by Etli. The downside is that his DIY requires some drilling and etc. I thought I might just throw that out there.

It's actually cool you are offering this though since sometimes I get lazy or scared to do my own modding.

More than any other factor, I want a solid piece. If open leaks appear from drilling and what not, I don't think I'd be interested because moisture and other factors can damage parts I'd rather keep clean and in good condition.

I think both ways are solid just as long how careful you do it. the DIY is cost affective while NeveNelEstate's includes insurance in some ways. I sugggest that both methods should use a lil silicon to seal and watertighten it.

Actually, if I do plan to do it i rather pay someone to do it. I'm never ever good with a drill. LOL

You're doing it all wrong. What you do is, buy a new assembly yourself, do the full LED conversion. sell it for $75(pending its a good job), buyer sends back their stock assembly(assuming they are still clear and not overlayed), you do the same full LED conversion and sell it for $75, etc.

Trust me, you'll make alot more customers and alot money that way. Nobody is going to pay $200 for a 3rd brake light mod they will never be able to see.

I've already thought of that, the prob is getting the first one, and I am slowly leaning towards a DIY instead of selling them, I am going to be leaving the counrty in a couple of months and don't need extra work right now, but who knows

Yeah I think If you even charged an amount higher than $100 and then after we get the product, we send you our unmodded stock light and get like a $100 refund/rebate. That I would consider paying for. But $200 is not even something I could consider for merely extending the brake lighting.

Howdy all,

I'm the one who did the 3rd brake light DIY. Yeah, I was going to do what ya'll are proposing but I felt it would be too much of a pain to work out the pricing with people.

The brakelight by itself costs about $100.

Components come out to about $20.

So anything above that is the cost of labor that would be charged.

It takes about 2 hours to do the whole modification, so if I charge the full 200, I get about 40 per hour.

But then there's the cost of shipping between $10-40 depending on how fast the customer would want it. And there would be MULTIPLE shippings back and forth if the customer wanted a refund if they sent in their old talilight.

So it just seemed to me to be too much of hassle.

Seems to me that any good manufacturing outfit in China ought to be able to pop out complete assemblies with LEDs included for about $12 a piece.

Hey all.
I am looking into getting these made, I do not have a price yet but I will let everyone know as I find out more.

If the price is to high I will drop the idea but if I can get them made with an excange for less then $100 I will post up the prices and how you can get yours.

I will not be offering anything more then a full light with red leds inside. I will include full instructions on how to get the light off and put the new one back on these will be avail both online and in printed form.

Keep your eyes pealed for this update soon.
